As often as I can, I gift a website (completely free) to an individual, group or organisation making a positive difference. That might be someone starting a community project, supporting others through tough times, or simply building something meaningful with kindness at its heart.
It’s my way of using my skills to help good people be seen and supported online - without the stress, cost, or complexity that often gets in the way with getting a website up and running.
Dianne at A New Chapter runs a supportive community for widows and widowers in the North of England, helping them navigate life after loss with friendship, compassion, and connection.
They were looking for an alternative to their Facebook group, so I created a safe, private community website for their members. The site helps them share events, welcome new members, and stay in touch in between their face-to-face meetups.
I met around 28 of the wonderful women from A New Chapter on a Norwegian cruise in 2024 - they took me under their wing for the week. The site was gifted with love and appreciation for how much the group means to the members.
But it got me thinking - who else can I help?
There’s no application process, eligibility criteria, or hoops to jump through. If I spot someone doing something wonderful and I’ve got the time and capacity, I’ll offer to gift them a simple website - no catch, no cost.
If you’re one of the people I offer this to, I’ll send over a short form to gather the info I need to get started. It’s straightforward and designed to make things as easy as possible for you.
If that sounds like you - or someone you know - feel free to get in touch. I can’t promise I’ll be able to help right away, but I can promise I’ll listen.
Every new SideKick client helps make gifted websites possible - so even if you don’t need a site yourself, spreading the word really does help me keep saying yes to people doing brilliant things.
And if you know someone doing something wonderful who could use a little SideKick support - feel free to get in touch.
